The mountain training, which Switzerland stipulates as one of the few states, prepares the pilots for the demanding aviation in the Alps. During 20 to 30 flight hours, flight tactics and at least 250 landings in high mountains regions are practiced.

The training will be completed with a practical test. The license entitles the pilots to land over 1'100 m AMSL, for example, on all 40 official mountain landing sites within Switzerland.

The training is usually completed with the Bell 206B-III Jet Ranger. Our helicopter is equipped with the most powerful engine (RR 250-C20R) for the Bell206. It therefore offers an exceptionally high flight performance, especially in mountainous regions. Ideal for this kind of training. The requirement for starting the mountain training is 100 hours helicopter flight experience.
